Adam is our Tuesday Group Session Keys teacher – suited to Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced. He is also available for Individual Sessions by appointment.
Adam has been working as a jazz performer and educator for the past 10 years. In addition to leading his own groups (Adam Rudegeair Trio, Rhymes With Donkey, Neon Bogart, and the new project ‘Songs Without Worlds’), he works steadily as a sideman for Henry Manetta, Justin Ashworth, Lyn Gillett, and
Jolene Moran.
While studying privately with Steve Sedergreen, Adam cut his teeth at the now-legendary Dizzy’s jam sessions. After completing an Advanced Diploma in Music Performance from NMIT, he soon found himself in demand as an arranger and accompanist. This experience led him into teaching jazz piano.
Adam has taught students ranging from seven years of age to retirement age! Adam’s style of original music is heavily influenced by funk artists such as Prince, Parliament and James Brown, and also contains large dollops of New Orleans grooves, a la Dr John, James Booker, and
Jon Cleary.
