Andy’s musical journey began at the age of 11 after hearing The Beatles playing on TV. It was at that moment he decided that he wanted to pursue a life-long career in music.

After hounding his parents for a guitar, Andy quickly found school friends interested in music and started a band.

Playing and recording throughout high school Andy successfully completed VCE Music Solo Performance and went on to study Music Composition at Box Hill Institute.

Andy’s journey continued through the years playing guitar in hard rock group Teargas at all the major music venues in Melbourne as well as supporting international artists Brides of Destruction, Jeff Scott Soto and Zed as well as sharing bills with local legends Airbourne, Australian Idol finalists and many more.

Andy furthered his studies completing a Diploma in Audio Production and focused his attention on writing and
recording his own music. Releasing his debut album “Under a Blood Moon” In 2022. Andy continues to write and perform at venues across Melbourne, his newest project is playing in his Jazz Trio - Gitan Jazz, who perform the music of Django Rienhardt.

Through his musical journey on guitar spanning over a decade, Andy has amassed a wealth of experience which has helped him to refine his teaching methodology to provide valuable guitar tuition for students of all ages, abilities and stylistic preferences.

A patient and conscientious teacher it’s Andy’s goal not only to see steady improvement in a student's chosen instrument, but to also foster a lifelong love of playing music.
