Cancellation Policy

The SoundLab Music Pty Ltd – TA / The SoundLab, Prahran (ACN: 603650255) have adopted this Cancellation Policy, which applies to all lessons booked at The SoundLab Music School - Level 1/48 Clifton St. Prahran. The SoundLab, reserves the right to change this Cancellation Policy at any time.

1. Types of Lessons & Bookings (Live & Online)
1.1 Five-week or Ten-week Individual Courses offer a discount should you purchase either Five-week or Ten-weeks of Lessons in 60min or 30min (Under 13) durations.
1.2 Casual Lessons are available and must be booked and paid for in full before commencement.
1.3 We now offer our lessons online via Zoom. When we must adhere to government regulations or lockdowns due to COVID, lessons are to be taken in this manner as a substitute for our live lessons.
2. Sign Up & Payment
2.1 A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place in our Individual Courses, the balance is payable prior to your first lessons commencement, unless otherwise agreed.
2.2 Payment can be made via Direct Debit to our bank account, or by Credit Card over the phone. Account Name: SoundLab Music BSB: 083337 Account Number: 170791562
2.3 Upon sign up you will receive a welcome email confirming the dates of your Course please acknowledge you have received it.
3. Notice of Postponement or Cancellation
3.1 To postpone or cancel a lesson please email info@thesoundlab.com.au at least 48 hrs prior to your scheduled lesson time - or it will count as one of your paid for lessons in your Course.
3.2 We are unable to postpone lessons due to a COVID lockdown, your lessons will be available for delivery to you via Zoom. Upon agreement to taking lessons with us you will have the equipment and ability to receive Zoom lessons in your home.
3.3 Lessons are intended to be had at the same time each week consecutively. Your lesson time may vary if we need and you can accommodate, but the day will be scheduled the same each week, unless otherwise agreed.
3.4 A maximum of one lesson can be cancelled (with 48hrs notice) and rescheduled per Five-week Course and up to two from Ten-week Courses. There are no cancellations on Casual lessons.
3.5 You will be sent an SMS reminder 48hrs before your scheduled lesson time we ask you double confirm your lesson by replying YES.
3.6 There is strictly no refund on full course fees or deposits to hold your place.
3.7 If you drop out of a course at any time, you will not be entitled to a refund for the remainder of the course.
3.8 Rarely a teacher may become unavailable to us in the short or long term. Where possible a replacement will be provided and if so you are expected to complete your course with the said teacher.
